Our Chef - Garret Martindale
Chef Garret Martindale began his culinary career over 12 years ago with an unstoppable drive. His passion is seen in his whimsical play on classic dishes. Chef Garret Martindale is constantly looking for different combinations and methods of preparing his creations with careful attention to each of his meals.
Garret has worked at some of the best restaurants in the San Francisco area from the Cornelian Room to the Rotunda at Neiman Marcus. As the Chef de Cuisine at the Carnelian Room Garret received Three Stars from the Chronicle’s Michael Bauer, the first time in its’ 28 year history. As a Chef at San Francisco’s The Rotunda in Neiman Marcus, Garret prepared delicate dishes for the ladies who dine there for their weekly lunch.
Chef Garret Martindale has also appeared on “View of the Bay” and has won the Chronicles best decadent dessert.
Currently Garret is the Chef/F&B at both our Hotel properties, the Orchard Hotel and Orchard Garden Hotel, in San Francisco. Following the same sustainable practices as our hotels, our Chef only uses sustainable and seasonal ingredients. While constantly making improvements and adjustments Garret Martindale makes certain all guests have a memorable dining experience.
